Passing the Securities Industries Essentials (SIE) Exam is a new prerequisite (since October 2018) for all persons seeking FINRA registration. You can register for and take the SIE Exam and any Financial Academy FINRA course without company sponsorship. The Series 6 Exam is a FINRA qualification requirement to sell mutual funds and variable life and annuity products.
